She was now officially known as Purdey by 1976 filming (a name created by Joanna Lumley with The New Avengers co-creator Brian Clemens), but the actresses wearing of stockings for the character during her early series filming was still thankfully and welcomely present, as seen in this lovely leggy promotional image taken around the time the series first title sequence was concurrently being put together.
